JCC-01100 is the smooth PTFE tube from our JCC-00000 series with one layer of 304 stainless steel braid pulled over it. The PTFE carries the chemical resistance, the braid carries the pressure. It covers 5/32" to 1" bore and is the build we quote when a line has a real working pressure but does not need the two braids or the wire-bundle construction of a higher-pressure series.

Overview
The construction is deliberately simple. A smooth, unbraided PTFE tube is extruded, sintered and shaped, then a single braid of high-strength 304 stainless wire is woven over it. Nothing goes inside the bore, so the flow path stays a clean cylinder and the hose can be flushed or swabbed the same way as the plain tube. On the outside, the braid takes the hoop load that the PTFE wall cannot.
In practice that moves a line from the low-pressure range up into the tens of MPa: the catalog rates 42 MPa at 1/4" and 10 MPa at 1". Nothing else in the assembly changes. The bore is still smooth, the temperature range is still −70 to +260 °C, and the fittings are still crimped on per order.
Where it stops being the right answer: if the line pulses hard on a pump discharge, runs under vacuum, or gets dragged and abraded over a machine frame, price the double-braided and jacketed builds before you settle on this one. A single braid is also less forgiving of a routing bend tighter than the minimum in the table, because the braid stops the tube from bending smoothly once it is pulled tight. Both alternatives are in options and related builds.

Materials and construction
- Inner tube: smooth PTFE, the same extruded, dried, sintered and shaped tube used in our JCC-00000 series. Continuously cylindrical bore, no corrugation, no liner seam.
- Reinforcement: one layer of high-strength 304 stainless steel wire braid, woven over the tube. This is the only pressure-carrying layer; the PTFE does not carry the rated load on its own.
- Braid OD: 7 mm at 5/32" up to 31 mm at 1", measured over the braid as printed in the table.
- Temperature: −70 to +260 °C / −94 to +500 °F, the catalog rating for the series.
- End connections: not listed in the catalog by size. Fittings are selected per order from the thread, flange or compression connection on your equipment, and crimped to the assembly drawing.
Temperature and pressure notes
The table is a room-temperature table. The catalog does not publish a derating curve for this series, and we will not invent one here: the allowable pressure at 150 °C or 200 °C depends on the medium, the fitting, the impulse cycle and how long the line has to last. Reducing working pressure as temperature rises is standard practice for any PTFE assembly, and this braided build is no exception. State the actual operating temperature and pressure and the figure for your assembly is confirmed in writing with the quotation.
Two checks we run before quoting a single-braid hose. First, burst figures sit at roughly three times working pressure across the table, which is a burst margin, not a working target — do not size the line against the burst column. Second, if the line runs under vacuum, or if pressure reverses, ask for a build with a spiral spring or a second braid; a single braid resists internal pressure, not collapse.
The minimum bend radius in the table is the radius at which the catalog rates the hose. Bending tighter than that kinks the PTFE inside the braid, and a kinked tube does not recover. If the routing needs a smaller radius, the convoluted builds are the answer, not a tighter bend.
Applications
The catalog lists this series for:
- Machinery and general industrial equipment
- Electronic and electrical appliances
- Automotive lines
- Medical equipment
- Aerospace
- Chemical processing
- Computing equipment
- Energy
- Military equipment
- Telecommunications
That is a broad list, and it reflects the point of the series: mild chemical duty at moderate pressure, in equipment that needs a flexible line rather than rigid pipe. Where the medium is aggressive, check compatibility first — PTFE handles most acids, alkalis and solvents, but the braid and the fittings are 304 stainless and see the same environment on the outside.

How to order
Send these seven points and we can quote without another round of email:
- Bore in mm or inches, and the nominal size if you already know it.
- Length per piece and the number of pieces.
- End fittings at each end: thread standard and size, flange, or compression fitting, with a photo or part number if you have one.
- Medium and its concentration, so compatibility is checked before anything else.
- Operating temperature, including cleaning or steam-in-place peaks.
- Working and peak pressure, and whether the line ever runs under vacuum.
- Quantity for the first order and the expected annual use.
If a drawing already exists, send it. We work to the customer's drawing when one is supplied.
Frequently asked questions
What is a single-braid PTFE hose?
A smooth PTFE tube with one woven layer of stainless steel wire over it. The PTFE gives the chemical resistance and the smooth bore; the single braid holds the pressure. It is the middle rung of the braided range: above the plain tube, below the double-braided and wire-bundle builds.
How much pressure does JCC-01100 hold?
The catalog rates 42 MPa (about 6,092 psi) at 1/4", 27 MPa at 5/32", 23 MPa at 3/8" and 1/2", and 10 MPa (about 1,450 psi) at 1". The full per-size table is above.
Is the bore smooth or convoluted on this hose?
Smooth. The inner tube is the same cylindrical PTFE tube as our plain JCC-00000 series, so pressure drop is low and the line drains and cleans easily. Only the outside is braided. If you need a tight bend radius, the convoluted series JCC-10000 is the one to look at.
Can it be used under vacuum?
The catalog does not give a vacuum rating for this series. A single braid is there to resist internal pressure, not external collapse, so we do not recommend it for vacuum service without checking the application first. Tell us the vacuum level and we will point you to a spring-guarded or double-braided build if the duty needs one.
Are fittings included?
The catalog lists hose sizes only. Fittings are selected per order from the connection on your equipment and crimped to the assembly drawing, which is issued for approval before production.
